Look, I'll be honest with you: this pillow
is unsettling at best and tongue-curlingly revolting at
worst. It's supposed to bring to mind the eyeless and
flabby Khezu, the electrical bastards you fight
throughout Monster Hunter Freedom
Unite, but from where I'm sitting -- a
comfortable distance away, mind -- it definitely does not
resemble so innocent a giant monster. Joystiq
pointed this out as their editors were
undoubtedly trolling along in search of some unspeakable
tentacular anime and happened across this by accident.
Even more unsettling is the fact that the mouth can be
flipped inside out and streeeeeeeetched, just like the
Khezu's flailing head attack. If you'll excuse me, I must
now go and poke out my eyes.

Looks like this little tidbit slipped underneath my radar:
Japanese magazine
GameSide commemorated the release of
Rockman 9 with stunning artwork of the Rockman 9 cast, illustrated by none other than
Megamix author Hitoshi Ariga. The piece, spanning across a two paged pin-up, is limited to 2,000 copies of the issue.
In addition, Ariga san sat down with the editors of the magazine to reveal an unpublished Megamix manuscript. No details regarding its contents, I'll be keeping an eye out on such a rarity.
Oh, free internet cookie to anyone who can make that image into a banner. (*cough* 1085 x 142 *cough*)

If
you aren't keyed into the Japanese arcade scene, Arcadia
Magazine is like the New York Times of arcade
games-it's THE place to go in Japan for amazingly
in-depth and expert coverage of a large amount of titles
(and no, I don't write for them anymore!). They
also sponsor the awesome Super Battle
Opera tournament, so it's safe to say that
these guys know what's up.
SFIV wasn't really in the running for any Game of
the Year awards in the West, since it's "merely" an
arcade game right now, but in the one place on earth
where the game is in wide distribution, it's blowing
everybody away.
Street
Fighter IV won:
-GAME OF THE
YEAR
-Best
Graphics
-Best Production
-Best
Character (Ryu)
I'm
not sure a single game has ever been
so dominant.
And just in case you
thought SFIV was only popular with the Arcadia editors,
here is where I tell you it also won the write-in
Reader's Choice voting for best game
of the year. Beastly!
Thanks MarkMan
and Reno
for the translations!
