First
Toronto,
and now London! Beware international Resident Evil Fans!
Capcom will be present in central London in front of the
Tate Modern on Halloween to celebrate the upcoming launch
of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles in true zombie
fashion.
We're
offering a free Nintendo Wii and a copy of the latest
instalment in the Resident Evil series to the best
dressed zombie. Two more zombies will win a copy of the
game for the best zombie stagger and the best zombie
moan.
The zombie Walk is taking place from
12 noon on Saturday 31st October outside Tate Modern.
Zombies should horde from noon and then prepare to go on
the 'rampage' across the Millennium
Bridge.
Your zombie
contacts will meet you at Tate Modern from noon. Please
don't eat them.
Members of the
press will be invited to take photos, so shy zombies need
not re-animate.
Free zombie
make-up will also be applied by an expert to the first 20
Zombies who stagger over. Please arrive at 11am if you
want make-up done.
Zombies can also
get their photographs with two glamorous zombies who will
be putting in an appearance.
We announced Zero's appearance in Tatsunoko Vs.
Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars over a week ago, and you all
seem to have liked his inclusion! But for people that
haven't followed the Mega Man series since Mega Man 2, he
represents something of a mystery: just who is Zero and
what's his role in the Mega Man franchise? Sure you can
Wikipedia it in two seconds, but where's the fun in
that!?
Instead, allow me to point
you towards the awesome Retronauts
blog on 1UP, wherein writer Nadia Oxford
provides a nostalgic and informative look at this Reploid
from the future!
We released brand new screenshots for Monster Hunter
Tri earlier, and now we're releasing a brand
new GamesCom trailer! It's loaded with the vast
environments you'll find in Monster Hunter, along with
new monsters, as well as some of the old monsters re-done
with amazing detail. The new companion, the Chacha, also
makes an appearance!
This weekend
saw the release of Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii in Japan
(which explains why
we made our North American/European announcement
today!). Predictably in a country where hunting
monsters is almost as big a national pasttime as catching
them and putting them in your pocket, there were tons of
players lining up across Japan in order to get their
goods. The
intrepid photohounds of Famitsu covered a couple of the
launch events, including this one at a Bic
Camera in Yurakucho where producer Ryozo Tsujimoto-san
made an appearance.
Matthew Hawkins dug up some old Nickelodeon Magazine articles about past video game characters and what they've been up to since their last game appearance. Guts Man's profile in particular is downright goofy, since he's apparently become a veterinarian and settled down with Roll:Wow.

Keighley will be joined by babes and some scared-looking
industry types for a little sneak peak at some of E3's

be our very own Lost Planet 2, so be sure to check
it out.
