In
the wake of Capcom's Captivate
09, NowGamer
sat down with Dark Void producer Morgan
Gray.
They talk game difficulty,
east-west growing pains, and how all the major flying
elements work into the overall design.
Gray: You could play this
entire game and never once hijack a UFO. We give you the
objectives and the goals and give you as much freedom as
we can to figure your own path.
We commissioned the talented artist, Joe
Vriens, to create tribute art for MVC2. Here
are some concept sketches of Ryu. Visit his
blog
to see some of his amazing work.
Here's the exclusive WIP MVC2 -Ryu vs Wolverine
Sneak Peak! Enjoy!
Not sure
what to think about this new track as of yet, but seeing
as how Wilco has yet to disappoint after a decade or so
of releasing awesome albums, I thought I'd share this
live clip from the Colbert Report. My initial take? Needs more Nels! Team Tweedy's new
rekkid drops June 30, entitled simply Wilco
(The Album). I already have my
tickets to see them at the Berkeley Greek on 6/27. Do you? See ya
there!
If so, please comment on this post with
your suggestion for what the league names should be
called..
If there's enough
interest, I'll set a up a few over the upcoming months,
probably starting in June / July and maybe I can give
away Capcom games as prizes.
Of
course, I'll be playing (and so will some of our Capcom
devs.) in all of them! >:)
Despite the widespread celebrations,
not everyone was happy to hear Marvel vs Capcom 2 is
coming to XBL and PSN--namely, the people who have been
selling the rare console copies on eBay for crazy
prices.
Head over to Videogamepricecharts
to watch as the console release prices begin falling back
to earth, and remember to check out the free MVC2 demo on
PlayStation Network, live today!
Behold, unseen images of the Mega Man 4 beta hailing from Electronic Gaming Monthly's coverage of CES '91. Yup, pretty amazing what one can find inside old floppies. Anyway, onto a little analysis: -The first thing to catch my eye is the top right image; an unused Sphinx midboss possibly belonging to Pharaoh Man's stage.
-Next up, the middle image: a beta stage select screen. Similar to the MM7 prototype, only four out of the eight stages appear to be playable in this build. The boss tiles are vastly different from the final build, that and the Dr. Cossack emblem remains absent from the center tile, replaced by Mega Man's mug--a possible place holder.
-I can't quite place my finger on it, but Ring Man's stage layout looks a bit different. Also, the Wall Blasters in the bottom left screen appear black and white. In the final, they are red and white.
-It might be the quality of the screen shots, but the rain in Toad Man's stage appears thicker than the final.
-The backgrounds in Bright Man's stage are completely different, that and the spikes below the Hopper appear bland and generic when compared to the final.
Well, that's just about everything I could find. See something I missed?
Microsoft is holding a contest on Xbox LIVE to
win a Resident Evil 5 Red Xbox Bundle! The first thing
you need to do is download
this gamer picture. Of course, you can't spell
Zombies without Capcom. So what better excuse to play
some Dead Rising and Resident Evil 5 this
week?
This is a little
older, but none the less one of the funniest Mega64 skits I've
seen. Nothing quite like a creepy merchant with a seven
sentence vocabulary.
